Fantastic tour! Got a general overview of New York. The 911 memorial alone was worth the money. Unbelievable! Everyone should see it!
Most importantly. Our tour guide Richard was absolutely fantastic! A very interesting man. Well informed. So much detail and history about all we saw. I highly recommend this tour if you are ever in NY and even better if you get him.
This tour involves lots of walking all day long. It was a fun way to see the city and take the subway for the first time. Our guide, Esther, was very energetic and engaging. She made time to talk with our 11 year old granddaughter who was the youngest person on the tour. This is a highlights tour for people who want a personalized introduction to the city. Midtown and the Financial District. There was a ride on the Staten Island Ferry that gives you an opportunity to see the State of Liberty at a distance. This ferry ride was 90 minutes of the tour. I would have rather spent more time at the 9-11 Memorial. The ride to the top of World One Observatory was fun but if you've been to the top of Rockefeller Center or the Empire State Building you'll get a similar view.
Our guide, John Bow, was terrific - energetic, knowledgeable, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy taking us around. He was able to answer all our questions and spent one-on-one time with each member of the tour. the tour itself covered many of the highlights of the city in an efficient and interesting way - it is amazing how compact the city actually is and how much of it you can see on foot in 6 hours! If you have only one day - as I and my teenaged granddaughter did - then this is a tour for you.
