The Full Day Sportsman (Extended) Charter is 8 Hrs. of fishing! This allows enough time to check all the buoys in a 40 mile range. This almost guarantees you will catch more fish than anyone!

We can also light tackle the buoys for Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Ono, if you choose.

The "Cowboy" is a very comfortable 35’ Bertram, for you to relax and enjoy the experience...until you're on and adrenaline is flowing!

*In addition we will fillet and package your fish and provide complimentary photos/videos of your experience.

Capt. Shawn knows how to give a great experience and never disappoints! Best fishing in Kona hands downs We had a great time and hooked up to a huge Marlin. My boyfriend has never been offshore fishing, Shawn and the crew made it such an easy experience, we had our adrenaline pumping! So much fun we’ll definitely be coming back. The deckhand was really great too, very knowledgeable and friendly. These guys reallly know what they’re doing! An experience I’ll never forget, such a fun family event! The boat is so clean and so comfortable. Highly recommend this experience to anyone, there’s nothing in the world like it! Thank you all so much!!

Overall, fantastic sport fishing charter experience! The captain, Sean, is an ex-commercial fisherman and truly knows the best strategies and techniques to make your day (and your money) worth while. On our very first trip out, his experience paid off as we caught a roughly 600lb marlin and plenty of fresh ono to go around our group. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend his services if in the Kona area. 10/10!

I booked the Kona Cowboy for a full day of fishing and was not disappointed. When other boats in the fleet were struggling to find fish we raised 5 marlin. I was able to catch a 700lb marlin, a fish of a lifetime. I have been on numerous fishing charters over the years and Captain Shawn is the best boat handler I have fished with when it comes to using the boat to assist the angler fighting a fish. Captain Shawn loves to fish and knows the local waters well and it shows. Captain Shawn’s wife Kimberly took amazing photos for me capturing memories that I would not have been able to get as a solo fisherman. Thank you so much for your work. Mate Peter was very knowledgeable and provided excellent advice and information throughout the day. He was constantly monitoring the lure spread and making adjustments as needed. His expertise helped walk me through successfully landing the fish of a lifetime. The boat itself has been recently renovated and is in excellent condition. The rods and reels are top of the line 130 class tackle. Captain Shawn obviously takes a lot of pride in maintaining his equipment so it is always ready for the biggest fish Kona’s waters can throw at you. I will definitely be back to fish with the Kona Cowboy and crew again. They are all great people and even without the great catch, they made it an enjoyable day on the water enjoying paradise.
