I did the full day whitewater adventure with Glacier Raft company. It was mostly families and college aged kids. They provide helmets and life vests which were in good condition. We rode about 15 minutes in a school bus to the take off point. One of the guides did a stand up funny man routine to help pass the time on the bus. The first half of the day is a "scenic" float with just a few small rapids. Tori was our guide and she was awesome! She entertained us with get to know you games and River lore and also gave us great instructions on how to paddle and be safe thru the rapids. Lunch was great- Steak grilled on the riverbank. It was a hot day and most of the younger kids went swimming. Then the second half of the trip was Class 2 and 3 rapids. Not too intense but alot of fun. The only thing you need to bring is sunscreen and maybe sunglasses. But if you so fall into the river going thru a rapid, you could lose your sunglasses, just FYI. ( The guide can put some things in a dry bag for you if needed) But anything in the boat will just get soaked, so better to leave it at home. Highly recommend!
