Return to a time when the mob ran Galveston and their guests were treated as if they were family. When you crossed the bridge you enter "The Free State of Galveston," where the only rules were mob rules. The stars of the era were world class entertainers brought in to perform in the casinos, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., and Dean Martin. Everyone was enjoying their own "Vegas Dream" right here in Galveston.

My mother and I came to Galveston to get away for a few days and decided to take this Red Light District tour. We were able to walk to the meeting spot from our hotel. We were the only two people on the tour so it felt like we were getting the VIP treatment. Our guide was delightful and very knowledgeable. It was quite cold, so we cut the tour a little short but our guide was kind enough to drive us back to our hotel. When we got back, we discussed how much we’d learned. Truly fascinating history. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in learning more about Galveston’s history.

Out tour guide , Kimber, also the author of Red Light District, Galveston, was AMAZING. You have to go on this tour. I will take all of my friends and family that visit us on the coast from now on. So interesting.
