Distinctive gardens define and celebrate a Western identity and a unique high altitude climate and geography. Many of the innovative gardens are models of drought-tolerance and showcase native and adapted plants that thrive in Western gardens. Throughout the Gardens, the time-honored traditions of European horticulture merge with a dynamic diversity of plants and design that represent the best in horticultural achievement.

An absolutely fantastic place to visit - both beautiful and informative. Astounding collection of conifers and desert plants and a wonderful tropical house with perfectly kept orchids and more. The finest place in Denver - highly recommended.

Surprisingly large for being right in the middle of downtown! There was still snow and ice in places, and about 1/4 of the non-paved paths were closed for landscaping, but that feels par-for-the-course visiting on an off-season Friday. The Orchid exhibition was unexpected and absolutely stunning!! The free activities were great too, super approachable for adults and children. We would love to visit again in warmer weather!!

The orchid showcase is beautiful in winter when the outside gardens are frozen. In summer the trees bloom over the walkways before the bulbs open and the summer blooms come. In fall the leaves change to stunning colors and the Halloween activities are fun. Easy parking if it’s not an event, otherwise note the signs of where you can and cannot park in the residential areas.
