The ghost tour started off a little slow. It was more of a history lesson on the events of the battle than anything to do with ghosts or spirits. But the tour guide, Marc, was very informative and more than willing to answer any and all questions. Once we arrived at the search area things got really interesting. Marc provided each person and/or group with various devices to detect or possibly detect any spirits in the area. He also gave all of us recommendations as to good spots to try, and provided information about spirits that are frequently encountered. Sure enough, my wife and I were able to communicate with a Union soldier using dowsing rods. I am typically a skeptic, but it would very difficult to explain the movement of the rods each time we asked a specific question. Marc was more than willing to stay long after the designated finish time to discuss our findings and give us even more information about local ghostly encounters. We will definitely go on this tour again the next time we are near Gettysburg.
