This was my family's third "Ghost Tour" (the other two being Williamsburg, VA and Mt Airy, NC). Here is my assessment.
1. Price - I thought the price was a bit high at $20 per person, but not outrageous.
2. Tour Guide - Our tour guide was Rex. He did a pretty good job of getting everyone involved in the tour and seemed fairly knowledgeable about the history of Gatlinburg. My only critique was a historical error. As he was talking about Radford Gatlin, he asserted that Gatlin's brother was the inventor of the "Gatlin gun." Although Radford Gatlin may have had a brother named Richard, he was most certainly NOT the inventor of the Gatling gun, which was Richard J. Gatling. While this caused me to question the historical accuracy of his stories, it was the only story that has proven to be patently inaccurate. Rex was very respectful of the townspeople and their wishes regarding the walking tour. Overall, Rex did a good job and I recommend him.
3. The "Paranormal" - I found the tour to be far more about the history of Gatlinburg than about paranormal experiences. I acknowledge that I am not a "believer" in the paranormal, nor do I "fear" otherworldly beings. That being said, the Mt. Airy and Williamsburg tours provided far more "paranormal" stories and stops than the Gatlinburg tour.
4. The Walk - The tour was not a terribly long walk, although it took 90 minutes or so to complete. Only about 1 mile of walking was actually covered. There is one portion of the tour that requires a fairly steep grade that needs to be navigated. Other than that, the walk is easily navigable by most.
