Steve is the best of the best. I've only given walk and talks on Javelinas and a 16th century French Fort in North Florida. I've been in Salida for 9 years, but he was
full of new info. I'm a believer in ghosts, but they're not for everyone. When people tell me they don't believe, I always say "you don't have to believe in them, but they most certainly believe in you." :o)
The man was also polite, funny and safety conscious. He really wants you to enjoy your visit to this place. I meant to ask him about The Jug Liquor Store, downtown Salida. I've heard they have activity late on the lift-up cellar stairs. Which are always in the down position unless they are using them.
Also, when he was talking about the activity above Currents Restaurant (Only the owner has the key) he mentioned the windows and curtains tend to change seemingly by themselves. I noted the left window curtain was halfway to the side. The right side curtain was pulled all the way closed. While walking back to our vehicle on 2nd St, I noticed the curtain on the left was now pulled all the way to the side (about 25 mins later).
The next day on the way to work, I went thru alleys to get near it and it was halfway pulled open again.
Well worth your money and time!
