I enjoy historical tours. But not when advertised as ghost tours. The guide was one of the least personable people I've ever met. My friend who was with me suddenly had severe pain and difficulty walking, and the guide never once acknowledged it or asked if we needed assistance. She didn't even check to see if the group was together.
The tour began at the museum. This was...okay. But It's obvious the guide does not pay attention to the attendees, and she does not know how to open Spiritual doors properly.
We went to a forest where she kept emphasizing "seeing orbs" and "take pictures, you may see orbs.". Got a couple of spooky stories, some folklore, and then off.
To a modern cemetery where she basically said "go and have a look" and then she disappeared.
To her house? The owner's house? To a dark bedroom to be told a couple of stories because they were featured on Ghost Adventures, and then off again.
The majority of the time we were getting the history of New Orleans. Which is good, but again, I paid for a ghost tour. We even passed by the LaLaurie house with a snide remark and nothing else.
The shop itself is wonderful, with a very talented card reader. But for $89 per person with a non-personable guide who doesn't even bother to greet the guests? Take that money, buy your own supplies, and do your own divination and summoning. Guaranteed you will get more information doing that than taking this tour.
