While in Gettysburg everyone said to do a ghost tour. It’s very hard to decide which because you can tell paid ads are controlling trip advisor now which is disheartening. We decided on the history and haunts tour. Our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and a good descriptive story teller. We were disappointed to hear very few ghost stories, however. Also, we were not expecting how large of a group they took. There were about 30 In our group so sometimes it was hard to hear. That did seem to be the normal size looking at the other ghost tours we passed along the way, but it was still unexpected for us. We stayed after the tour and the guide told us some great ghost stories in the parking lot! (He said he didn’t tell them during the tour because one other family had small children.). So in short- if you can get a smaller tour without kids, I would recommend it. Our teens still enjoyed the stories, but would have preferred more ghost stories within the history.
