View Arizona´s tallest mountain at 12,633 feet, an ancient volcano that is snow-covered in the winter, as we drive past Flagstaff though a vast Ponderosa pine forest.

Grand Canyon South Rim

Hike down the Bright Angel or South Kaibab trail on a rugged but well-maintained path with a certified and experienced guide. Enjoy a snack at an overlook approximately 1.5 miles from the trail head, then hike back up to the rim and claim bragging rights for hiking the Grand Canyon.

If you're considering a trip to the Grand Canyon, do yourself a favor and book a journey with Chris! This experience completely surpassed all my expectations. Chris is not just a guide; he’s a walking encyclopedia of the Grand Canyon, its history, geology, and more. His enthusiasm is contagious, making every moment of the trip fascinating and fun. The views, as expected, were breathtaking, but what made this trip exceptional was Chris's ability to bring the canyon to life with stories and facts that you'd never find on a plaque or in a guidebook. Whether he was pointing out hidden formations or explaining the ecosystem, his knowledge was astounding. We also had lunch at El Tovar, which was an absolute treat. The historic hotel offered a stunning backdrop for a meal that was delicious and well-timed after a morning of exploration. The service was excellent, the food was top-notch, and the views from the dining room were the perfect complement to the day’s adventures. In short, traveling with Chris was a highlight of my year, and I couldn't recommend it more. If you want to experience the Grand Canyon in all its glory, and through the eyes of someone who truly loves and respects this natural wonder, Chris is your guide. This wasn't just a tour; it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I will cherish forever.

The hike below the rim was our family’s “wow” moment. Nina is a fantastic guide with lots of passion and knowledge of the area and great company during the journey. I will contact Grand Canyon Journeys next time we head west! Excellent all the way around.
