We thoroughly enjoyed our trip in the Hummer and our tour guide was outstanding.
It wasn't made quite clear at booking that the Hummers are only allowed to go on the same roads as all other vehicles so when advertised as 'exploring the grand canyon' they mean just going the same tarmac roads as all other tours / road traffic - it's more about the novelty of being in a Hummer.
We booked through Grayline and sadly it did feel a bit rushed as we had to get back for our coach so our stops were only ever 10 to 20 minutes, but we did make 4 which is 2 more than the advertisement (it worked out that from Vegas for an approx 17 hour trip we only actually got to spend about an hour in total looking at the Canyon)
If we could do it again I would cut out Grayline and make my own way to the canyon, do the Buck Wild tour then go back to my favoured spots for a bit more time. The Buck Wild tour is 99 dollars pp, so Grayline charged us 240 for a coach trip (on another day we rented a Mustang for 140 dollars for 24hours which was a lot more fun!!)
But the overall Hummer experience was really fun and more than anything our tour guide really made it,he was so informative and also encouraged some really fun and unusual pictures, well worth it!

Thanks for taking the time to post this review, we really appreciate the feedback from our visitors. We are sorry that you felt a bit rushed, but very happy that you go to experience additional viewpoints you weren't expecting. Our guides do love their jobs, and they have so much information about the area that they love to share, so we're glad you enjoyed that. Hope we get to see some of those fun and unusual photos!
