The Grand Canyon itself is a stunning place, and we visited through a bus tour. Skywalk is definitely worth doing, however I wouldn’t bother with the photos as they are $25 dollars for one or $50 for the shoot. It takes around 3-5 minutes to walk across at a quiet time, however the photographers push you around and out of the way if you’re not paying for photos so maybe worth having the photos taken just to get longer and a better experience. The shuttle bus is easy to use and goes from entrance to the other 2 sites in a circle, 2nd area is much better. At the main car park and skywalk there is a small cafe and shop, the shop has limited selection of gifts, and the food and drink is probably some of the worst quality I’ve had during our trip, especially considering the cost. It is beyond me, when this site is such a money maker, the quality is so poor. It could really be done much better. Also the main car park area seating is really uncomfortable and there are no decent seating areas to sit and enjoy your food and drink, although once you tasted it, you wouldn’t anyway. All of the staff there were quite miserable and appeared to not want to be there. The security staff there were superb though,, very polite, friendly and genuinely couldn’t do more for you. This gives me great confidence that when they are needed, they are there to support visitors

For me, it was one of those places you'd heard about, wasn't bothered either way, but you went in case you regretted not going. Unfortunately GCW is a long drive from Vegas and was just a let-down. We queued for the best part of an hour, when it was our turn to go onto the platform there was no internet so, although I'd already shown my ticket at the reception, I had to show it again before stepping out on the platform so we had to leave the queue and go outside and try to get a signal then download it, then go back (you are not told this when you arrive). We stepped on the platform and were told to wait before being assigned a photographer which we refused, so we went on ( the photo is really a digital photograph), the views that we saw weren't impressive, infact, personally had I known, I would have just bought a basic admission ticket and gone to Guano point which has the best views. Pictures are from Guano point (you are not allowed to take your camera onto the platform
