We bought the tickets (pricey at $90 each for a 30 min activity) and were told where to be at 1:30pm with stern warnings there are no refunds if we are late. We show up on time, no one there….so we wait, finally at 1:45 we find Jacob (note, WE find Jacob) who tells me he’s waiting for his co-worker who went to get him lunch and we’ll start when she returns and they’ve had time to eat lunch; telling us to just “wait”. Finally at 2:10 Jacob comes to get us (remember it’s August, 80% humidity and 95 degrees) and Jacob tells our group “sorry I had to take my government mandated break”.
I suggest management advise potential customers “you’ll be standing around not doing a dang thing for no reason other than to not lose your fee (cause they drive it down your throat there are no refunds and you will not get that money back if you aren’t there at 1:30); meanwhile our employees won’t show up for work. You’ll be doing this so our employees can take their imaginary government mandated breaks, so you can search for them, then wait some more in the heat while they have lunch in a/c.
My recommendation: only take someone you hate on this zip line torment, you’ll leave ticked off but so will your companions.
