There was no lesson. They sent us a 3-minute video to watch the night before and when we got there we were given a board and told to paddle out. I adhered to the rules and brought only my 10 year old son, but other families brought 6 and 8 year old children even though it clearly states on the website that kids need to be 9 and older. So one instructor took the smallest child onto his board and gave him the time of his life while the other two instructors were left to attend to about 16 other people. The staff are very kind and insured that we each got pushed into at least one wave for the photo shoot. But there was no instruction. Not sure what I paid for but the kid who got one instructor all to himself seems to have received a private lesson subsidized by the rest of us.
Please don't bring small children to a group surf lesson.
