We did a group surf lesson for a 4 kids (ages 11-18) and it was ok. All the kids were able to get up on the board, they are all comfortable athletes. The lesson itself was underwhelming. The class was 2hrs and 1/2 the time the spent walking and doing water safety. Our instructor, named Vy, didn't leave the building till exactly 10am walked to parking lot to get boards, walked to beach, did 15 min water safety how to get up on board and didn't hit water till 10:30. IT was very crowed as it is in July, Multiple runs aborted due to being blocked by other beginners. There were about 100 folks in the spot next to the pier. Kids each got 4 runs in just over an hour (total of 6 in our party). At 11:40 the group promptly departed the water and walked to drop off boards and back to shed to rinse off. Instructor emphasized the need to be tipped to me and my wife separately. Left the shed promptly at 12N. Other instructor groups came in much later than ours and were much more engaged with customer service.
