This was our first time staying at the Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch and we loved it. Everyone we met (both the employees and the guests) were just phenomenal! The lodging was cozy with a gorgeous view, the trails were fun, and the food was excellent. While there we signed up for the Guided Rafting Tour on the Lower Salt River with Ryan. Ryan has a lot of experience rafting on difficult rapids and assured us that there "rapids" on the lower salt weren't anything to worry about. He said to just sit back and relax while he told us about the area and pointed out wildlife. I went with my husband and there were two other couples who joined us who were just lovely and funny. The day was beautiful and we saw different types of wildlife and TONS of wild horses gathered near our final stop on the river. We had a little snafu midway through when one of group fell off the raft. However, Ryan handled it brilliantly having trained us on how to pull someone back in, in case this happened, and by steering the boat to the side (out of the small rapids area) and having the man overboard hold onto the rope on the side of the boat. We worked together to pull the outed passenger back in (dripping wet and bruised) and continued on our way. It turns out a little adventure, albeit with a calm and skilled guide, made for a very fun and unforgettable trip. You really couldn't find a better river rafting guide than Ryan. We highly recommend him!
