Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.
The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

I'm so glad that I booked this tour. Our tour guide Henry was the best! He was so funny and knowledgeable and what made it even better was that you could tell that he really loved his job. He was gracious enough to take everyone's pictures so we all go the perfect shots with the sunset behind us.
The sunset was absolutely spectacular, something I will never forget. A definite must of when in Maui!

Really enjoyed the tour! Our driver and tour guide, Henry, was fantastic. He gets 5 stars!!! He was entertaining, attentive, thoughtful and informative, and a safe driver. The sunset was beautiful, and the ride up and back was great and fascinating. I'd do it again and highly recommend if you want to see the crater and at the best time of day for pictures.
