The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

Due to weather conditions the fishing trip I was hoping to go on was canceled. I went on internet search and low and behold Blue Heron Fishing popped up. I’m used to using my own rod and reel back home on Long Island. Pleasantly surprised that the boat poles were pretty good for equipment that is rented everyday. The mates, Jenna and AJ, were amazing and considerate to our needs. Including bating hook’s untangling fouled lines and GREAT humor. Fishing was decent for a full moon. I would definitely recommend sailing and fishing with the great Captain and crew of the Blue Heron Fleet! Thanks For A Wonderful Day! Ed Bernhardi NY, NY

Nice time fishing for our family group ages 9 to seniors. As the grandma I enjoyed the clean ship with help to bait, store and even filet the fish for us. Restrooms, plenty of seating and they kept us in the shade of the roof most of the time. They watched and stepped in to help with the lines when needed too, thank you to this good crew.
