The Blue Heron Fleet was established in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. The fleet has been family owned and operated with the third generation currently at the helm. Blue Heron offers excellent year round fishing at a great price.

The vessels are the largest and most comfortable in the area. Vessels are custom built aluminum drift fishers that meet and exceed the United States Coast Guard regulations. The cabins offer cushioned seating, settees for catering, and clean men’s and ladies restrooms.

Both our locations are minutes from prime fishing grounds 20-40 minutes away depending on which hot spot is producing fish catches.

The fare includes rod, reel, bait, tackle, and fishing license. The crews have years of experience ensuring your families safety and enjoyment. Two half day excursion departing daily. No reservations necessary. Blue Heron specializes in private charters for family, business, and corporate events with the options of fishing or cruising.

We had such an amazing time on our half-day fishing trip. We did the afternoon boat ride and had so much success catching a variety of different fish (see photos). We even encountered a few sharks both on the lines (they were “hunting” our caught fish) and around the boat! It was very exhilarating and entertaining. After the fishing trip was over, we returned to the dock where they were able to fillet the fish so that we could easily have it cooked that night for dinner. Overall, the staff were helpful, friendly and so much fun to work with. I cannot rave enough about what a great experience this was and HIGHLY recommend it!! In addition, since my family and I were not sure which fish would make for good eating, they were able to guide us on not only which fish to eat but what local restaurant we could take them to to actually have them cook our fish the same day! We weren’t sure how they were going to taste, but even for a picky fish eater like me, it was unbelievably delicious. Again… HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

The staff was nice, I just think it would have been more enjoyable if we were not all on the same side of the boat getting our lives near Tangled constantly
