We had been to Denver twice before and didn't rent a car this time. Aspire Tours offered a 4 hour tour which we thought would be a nice short getaway out of the city. We arrived at 1:55 pm and had a late start, which was not the fault of the tour company. Jennifer was our driver and guide. The van was comfortable and Jennifer was great at providing information and answering our questions. Our first stop was Red Rocks Park for great views. Another traveler, Annie (thanks!), told Jennifer that the concert had been cancelled so we were luckily able to visit the Amphitheatre, which was amazing and impressive to see. Then we headed to Lookout Mountain and Buffalo Bills Grave. Finally drove to Idaho Springs, where the Colorado Gold Rush began in 1858. The town was cute but many of the shops were closed since it was after 5:00 pm on Sunday. It would be a good place to visit again if we had more time. My family thought the Red Rocks stop was the best part of the tour. Jennifer brought us back to Denver by 6:15 and dropped us at Union Station. She gave us recommendations to eat downtown and we ate at the Milk Market, which she highlighted and we went there - fun place! Thanks to Jennifer for a very pleasant way to spend the afternoon.
