Amazing experience and probably, dollar for dollar, my favorite excursion yet...and I've done most. You must do the three canyon trip. Absolutely thrilling. Don't be scared. The guides are very professional and you are in good hands.
I tip my hat to James, our guide. While some seem to have an attitude and almost lecture you like a child at any miststep, James was the perfect guide. He showed patience as well as knowledge, all the while showing you respect as a paying customer. Couldn't be more professional.
Ok...the swim. It's tough...no doubt.
You have to swim across a swift river in 40 deg water with a dry suit, then float downstream about 100 yards and then get dragged onto a raft by your collar. Then...you have to pull someone else out of the water by their collar. I'm 58 and in good shape and I was breathing very hard by the time I hit the raft. All though I completely why this test is necessary, they never mentioned this when I signed up. Even though I still would have done it, they should be clear about the difficulty of this to everyone before taking your money.
Anyway...the bottom line is that it was a first class excursion and I would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a WW trip.
