I had to book through the TripAdvisors app because the Harry Potter store does not have a phone number for the public to call and because the website does not allow you to book through it. We planned the trip to the city around the date we booked this through TripAdvisor and upon arrival learned that the experience was closed. The store had no contact there and advised that it was done through a 3rd Party. We would not have gone to the city that day had we known the ride was not available. Now I am awaiting TripAdvisor’s response on my refund request, which should be more than simply the cost of the experience. They should have had direct contact with their experience to let their customers know that the experience was no up and running. Taking a busy day to go to the city only to take what should be a happy experience into dealing with disappointed kids is not okay because their clients (the experience) do not communicate with TripAdvisor. Regardless, hope TripAdvisor does the right thing and not only refunds us, but addresses their client, as well.
