First timers exploring Healdsburg! My friend and I did the evening Holiday in Healdsburg Wine & Food Tour Walk offer in December. Harold greeted us at the Plaza gazebo. He laid out our stops and gave us a little background of the town.
Our first stop was at Spoonbar for a cocktail and appetizer. Yes, cocktails ( they also offer wine). We had their “black magic women”cocktail paired with their crispy pork belly bites. Perfect combination! You won’t know, until you try it.
Pizza, pasta and cocktails: Pizzando is the place to be. I had a New York Sour cocktail paired with their rigatoni allá sugo pasta and crispy Brussels sprouts. I also tried their jalapeño margaritaaaah. Everything is cooked in a wood burning oven, which gives the food a smokey flavor. The atmosphere is lovely. Seating is a limited,so be sure to get there a little early.
Wine the night away at Spicy Vines, if you just want to relax and listen to a live music. There is plenty of seating. Their original blend spiced wine is smooth and it tastes like Christmas.
Tours are tailored towards your taste in food so make sure to let them know of any food allergies or dislikes when you sign up to have the best experience. ( Perks is that you have a table reserve when you get a tour, you can skip the line.)
Don’t worry, Wine Country Walking Tour does all the thinking/planning for you, all you need to do is relax and enjoy the moment. By the end of the night you will be no stranger to the town. We had so much fun and ready to go back!
Shout out to Harold!
