Carolyn gave us an excellent food tour. All the food was delicious. We learned a lot of history, and Carolyn was entertaining.

Carolyn was our most expert and experienced guide as we walked and ate our way through Annapolis. We hadn't been there before, so we took in all of the history that she provided. Especially interesting was the neighborhood walk where we learned about a number of houses where signers of the Declaration of Independence had lived. Carolyn also gave us some behind the scenes stories of the so-called haunted -ness of some of these houses. The architecture was really lovely through the streets. We had lots of good food - a bowl of chowder and some crab dip, samples of corned beef fritter, potato pancake, a potato filled cabbage roll at an Irish restaurant, oyster shooter or shrimp at a raw bar, with a last stop at a wine bar(wonderful flights of hardy reds) where we had pear/goat cheese flatbread and a flourless choc cake. There were only 6 of us on the tour so easy to maneuver around (we did not go on the main street - we were on side streets as it was a pretty crowded Sat afternoon). I thought it was only going to last a few hours but we were touring from 1-5 - which was fine with us. We had enough food that we canceled dinner reservations and had only a light app later in the evening. Carolyn had all of the answers to my many questions. Learned a lot about the city and its history - lovely! Highly recommend!

I have been on a handful of food tours in the US & Canada and this one I would rate as mediocre. The amount of walking was just right. The highlights on the history of Annapolis were good. However, the places we had samplers could be refined. Harry Brown's was excellent - Maryland She Soup & Crab empadada (excellent apps & atmosphere & water) ?? crowded establishment - raw oyster & 1 ounce of some type of beer - I would recommend to find another establishment with a more unique appetizer and add a specialty cocktail. Irish Pub - 3 samplers which were too much as most of us could not finish (water). I would recommend 2 appetizers and an Irish coffee. Red Red Wine - pizza & cake & water (tasty unique pizza) I would recommend a sampler of red or white glass of wine. I think the tour would have been better if another establishment offered dessert instead of a combo at the last one.
