This Pubs, Taverns, & Taprooms Tour is provided by CHARLESTON CULINARY TOURS, the longest-running food tour company in Charleston.This 3-hour professionally-guided tour will take you through 350+ years of Charleston History and Pub Culture. As you journey throughout the infamous French Quarter, you will visit three local pubs while learning about the “Five P’s”: Pints, Pubs, Prostitutes, Pirates, and Politics! Your first drink at each stop is included, as well as a shareable appetizer in at least one stop.

We had a fantastic time with this tour and I cannot recommend it enough! Coby was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. The breadth of Charleston history that he was able to cram into 3 hours was incredible. He covered broad themes in Charleston history through many detailed and riveting stories of smaller events. While we almost failed the only "test" he gave us, I would give him an A+. In addition to the history, his knowledge of beer led us to some really great picks at each stop. I would absolutely take this tour any day of the week.

Our tour guide developed this specific tour and was also very knowledge about the history and events that led up to modern day Charleston. While a couple of the bars on the tour were not of historical significance, the food and beer really enhanced the experience. There was a little walking, some standing at sites of interest and quite a bit of sitting while you drank your beer (the guys’ favorite part) and interacted with the guide. I would suggest a group of not much larger than six people so everyone can sit at one table and listen/ask questions. My husband and our friends took a night walking tour, carriage ride and this pub tour. This was our favorite. Definitely recommend, especially if you are tired of walking!

Coby was fantastic! He shared so many great stories as we walked through the city. He was funny and so easy to be around. He expanded our knowledge of beer. It was highlight of our trip!
