Kristy was amazing and knowledgeable. She kept the tour interesting and fun. The food was great at each one and great end with a cafe con leche

Wonderful tour guide - very knowledgeable- i am a vegetarian- was accommodated on the food tour. Ybor City has an interesting history. As someone who just moved to the area - I thought this would be a good way to learn about that - and it definitely turned out that way.

The good: the historic talk of the tour was very informative. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The not so good: the tour ran an hour over. The food at each stop was not of good quality or quantity. Most stops we had to wait at least 10 minutes to be served. Food was cold at one stop, yet we still had to wait for it. I feel like instead of getting the best local places the tour group found the cheapest, low quality places. Not worth the money in my opinion.

We like to take this time to really say thanks, as we really do value each and every review. Our tours are noted for a 3-hour window but can run over when several factors are considered. Those factors being larger groups or highlighted events that simultaneously run on our tour days. On the day of your tour Ybor City hosted its Annual Corvette Car Show. Our main Street was blocked off, and our town had more visitors than usual as to be expected. Making wait times at restaurants longer. While we try to keep our timing, those days can become a challenge for the restaurants to keep up. We were unaware of any stop having cold food until reading your review. We're extremely sorry you had to experience that seeing that this was the first time since operation that we've had that complaint. Since we didn't know which restaurant, we spoke to the General Manager at all of the stops. The one restaurant that apologized was were you were served Spanish rice & beans. The GM mentioned our timing was delayed as they thought we were going to arrive at our usual time. When that didn't occur, he apologized on behalf of a newly hired Staff member who served the dishes before checking with him. That has never happened, and were reassured that future servers would definitely check. Sorry for that. As far as the choices for our historical tour, we only choose food as a platform to help discuss the 4 Cultures that helped shape the history of Ybor City. As you remember from the tour, our great town was started by the Germans, Italians, Cubans, and Spanish. Our stops and choices of food represent that global area. For the Germans we take you to a Brewery to have Hackfleischauflauf mit Kartoffelhaube, which is German Pie. We take you to an Italian Pizzaria to have Italian Meatballs & Garlic Bread Knots. For the Cubans we take you to our award winning restaurant known for the Cuban Sandwich to see why they've won so many awards. We take you to another stop to experience Spanish Rice & Beans served the way its made in noted influential Spanish restaurants in Spain. Seeing that Ybor City is know worldwide as being The Cigar Capital of the World, we want our Guests to experience a true, authentic cigar-rolling shop so we take you to one as our last stop where you get to wind down from the tour in plush, leather seats while sipping on our staple drink in Ybor City, Spanish Cafe Con Leche. All foods served are served as full dishes, most Guests leave so full, we often have to have food wrapped to go. We truly do take this time to apologize again for your experience and would like to invite you back along with a Guest for Free! We have other tour choices like our Cuban Sandwich Tour, or even a Dessert Tour! Let us know which you prefer and we will gladly accommodate you. There's so much history in Ybor City, we've had people take our tours multiple times only to say that how much more information they learned each time. Again, we welcome you back to our home town look forward to hearing from you soon. We'd like the chance to make your experience a memorable one as we continue to strive for excellent customer service.
