We bought the Hop on Hop Off tour with intentions to stop off at Lafayette Cemetery but found out on the bus that it was closed. We just stayed on the bus for the complete circle tour. Our guide was okay. He was quite hard to understand but did have some interesting facts to share. The lady driver rocked, trying to maneuver around those streets because of the closures due to the hotel collapse the day before.
We got off where we started and was able to catch the last walking tour of St. Louis #1 Cemetery Tour which is right next door. I believe our guide's name was Odell, and she was fantastic. She gave a great tour and for me, this was the highlight of our quick trip. She was very knowledgeable and wasn't "gimmicky" like some of the other tour guides we saw taking groups through. I was fascinated by her stories.
Side note, parents, if your kids are bored by these types of things, which we had on our tour, it's understandable, but please pull them out of the way. We had one kid who just wanted to play on his phone but right in the center of things. Trying to take pictures around him was a little difficult. Just use some common courtesy/sense. It's a tight space to maneuver groups around.
I averaged the stars. Hop On/Off about a 3, but the Cemetery tour a 5
