The bus tour was advertised as a "Hop on Hop off," however, we were told that we were encouraged to stay on the bus for the first loop and then when we got back we could decide what we wanted to do. In the same breath, the driver, I think that his name was Bob, said that he had another tour following ours and that he would not be along to pick us up as advertised. If we called him he said that he could come and pick us up, but that it might take as much as 20-50 minutes to get there? He said that the bus tour was to orient us to Pensacola and the sights. He encouraged us to take the tour, and then to drive to wherever we wanted to go after the first loop of the tour. It was a little confusing. The tour was not as informative as we had hoped. We had been on many hop on and off bus trips around the country and this was by far the worse. We expected historical stories of houses and people along the route, instead we got a pre-recorded video with a lot of advertising about bars and restaurants. Bob did drive past the historical village, Memorial park, and the cemetery. One stop was the visitors center, which we had already gone to the day before. Supposedly we were to get discounts at local venders but we did not experience many that honored this discount. The cost was $30 each, but it would have been cheaper to just pay the entrance fee to wherever we wanted to go. We lost money on this excursion. We learned the hard way.
