Had a great riding experience. The wranglers were great, the weather was great, the horses were great (however, Taunto has an insatiable appetite and likes to stop and snack at every opportunity)! The reason for 4 vs 5 rating is because when we got to the top of the mountain and rested for a few minutes, with a beautiful view of the ocean, we were all stopped facing inward, with our backs towards the ocean and had no chance to enjoy the beauty. The trails are well groomed and clear but no real "scenery" per se, so missing the chance to view such beauty from atop the mountain was a disappointment. Also....for anyone who has any ounce of experience on a horse, please be KIND and please be PATIENT with those who have little-to-no experience and chill the heck out when a rider in front of you isn't going the speed *you* think is sufficient. As Caleb politely told the rider behind my d-i-l whose horse (Swagger, living fully up to his name, just sauntering along, despite her little probes to get him to catch up), it's still a 90-minute ride regardless of how fast or slow the horses move.
