Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for families, first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

Wonderful experience starting with booking online. We LOVED that we could fill the waivers out online before we arrived making the check-in process smooth and quick. Our trip on the Arkansas was INCREDIBLE. We loved our raft guide, Nate. He was enjoyable, funny and great to spend the afternoon with. We will recommend ART to all of our friends and family.

We selected this group because they were willing to provide a private rafting experience for our group of 3, including private transport to the river from their headquarters in Cotopaxi. When we arrived, there was a bit of confusion, despite the fact that we had made arrangements through 2 phone calls and at least 2 emails, but within 15 minutes it seemed that things got set into motion. Our guide Marshall was superb. His encyclopedic knowledge of the Arkansas River and environs amounted to a 3 hour class in history, environmental science, and folklore that we thoroughly enjoyed. My son wanted to stop to swim and he was most accommodating. The only knock on the river (we did the Bighorn Sheep Canyon halfday trip, putting in at Rincon) is that there are many flat parts of this river and not many significant rapids for a flow of 1100cfs.
