Our hosts were knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. They prepared us for each stop and as we walked, they pointed out some features of the city + some of the background of several famous residents like Shoeless Joe Jackson and a former Mayor Max Heller, who focused on the downtown revitalization--what a difference he made.
Our 1st stop was most amazing and most memorable at Le Petit Croissant, as we had the opportunity to meet the Chef/Owner & Chocolatier, who was trained in France. The dessert was fantastic!
Mary's Cottage had a nice dessert and a great view, and we returned the next day for breakfast. We finished our tour at Larkin's and we were not disappointed, and even met one of the senior executives.
We did not have the opportunity to stop at Foxcroft Wines, as they had another event planned. Unfortunately, nothing was offered in its place.
Sometimes our hosts went into a little too much detail about Greenville and all the changes that have happened and how affordability is becoming a challenge. For residents, these are great discussion points.
