Please look at our Departure and Return instructions before your trip with us. If you have any questions please reach out before you dock in town. We will pick you up at the excursion hub which is by the bottom of the zipline by the green gondola. Also do not go the kayak center. There are two kayak business in town.

Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

What an amazing experience! Weather could not have been better (we did get a bit of rain but that was minor!) Cody and his team added such color to the already amazing scenery with their input on local history, experiences, and expansive knowledge of the local wildlife. We brought raincoats and waterproof phone cases but Fairweather provided everything we needed so we did not need our supplies. The length of the trip was about 3 hours, and it went by very quickly. We almost canceled as we were concerned about getting back to our cruise ship on time. We made it back with time to spare and so glad we did not cancel. Would certainly book with Cody again if we ever get back to Hoonah!!

This was an excellent kayaking trip. Just a short distance from the cruise pier. Spoke with the owner Cody several times in advance. He was super friendly and helpful. This is a family run business. Everyone involved was great. And loved their dog Mocha! Would very highly recommend!

Five stars!!! The owner accompanied us on this kayak adventure in this family-owned business. The owner and his employees are all locals and can tell you the history and information about the community. They took and posted pictures of us for free. The provided lots of information and answered all of our questions. They laughed and talked, and I made us feel at home. They provided water and snacks. We got to hold a sea star and a crab. We even saw whales at a distance. We weren’t sure where to go to begin with but getting off the boat. It was easy. Go through door two and walk to the excursion hub. Somebody was waiting there gave us a tag and guided us to our shuttle. The owner was waiting as we got off the shuttle. You don’t even get in the water or water on you. They provide all of the equipment you could possibly need we were warm and comfortable. I highly recommend this company.
