Please look at our Departure and Return instructions before your trip with us. If you have any questions please reach out before you dock in town. We will pick you up at the excursion hub which is by the bottom of the zipline by the green gondola. Also do not go the kayak center. There are two kayak business in town.

Fairweather Kayaks is based in one of the most beautiful areas in southeast Alaska. A little town called Hoonah, Alaska. Not only do you feel like its home when you get here. The people here make it feel like home. It's a hard place to leave after you visit.

Fairweather Kayaks main goal is to show you an experience that when your outing is done. Not only will you walk away happy and relaxed from being out on the water. Our goal is to show you such a good time you'll be thinking about your next visit before you even leave.

Fairweather Kayaks takes you into calm waters where the kayaking experience isnt too difficult and theres always a chance to see wildlife.

This guide rocked! I texted him weeks before coming and even there wanting to talk myself out of it but once I was situated it was a blast! I can understand why he’s on his own. Carnival’s excursion wasn’t anything close to the experience & professionalism as this company! The excitement of the Waters & area is very informative and beautiful! What’s experience for this 56 yr old women! We had the best local Fish & Chips and were so excited to be with Cody! Picked us up at port and drove us back! Thank you for the memories!

Cody was Awesome! We had a great time on our 3 hour tour around Hoonah launching from the harbor downtown. Cody was knowledgeable and a really enjoyable guide. We got to cruise with a humpback for about 20 minutes and Cody filled us in on whales and some of the local species. We beached at a small island and had a nice respite from paddling enjoying a session of beach combing and saw some abundant sea life and fantastic scenery. Cody and his family and business partners were very accommodating and helpful during our short visit off the cruise ship. HIGHLY recommend a trip with Cody and Fairweather Kayaks!

I'm glad you had a great time. We got really lucky with the whales and its always a great time when we get to see them. The whales gave us quite the show.

If you want to get out of the crowds and enjoy the natural beauty of Alaska via water this tour is for you! Not only was it half the price of the excursion center kayak tours but Cody was an amazing guide. He showed us some local wildlife and was very knowledgeable about the area. I love supporting local business over the cruise lines. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
