The day the state park cancelled, the schedule for SunDiver Snorkeling Tours was still on. The threshold for the park seemed to have lower limits.
In any case, it was a wonderful experience!
1. Free parking.
2. No entrance fee.
3. Less expensive than the park for the tour and the gear.
4. Boat riders *non snorkelers* have a lower fee. (I didn't see this option for the park)
It was about 30 minute ride to the area, 1.5 hrs snorkeling, 30 minute ride back. While in the water, snorkelers had to wear a lightweight life jacket.
As we all snorkled in different directions, people saw different things. Lots of different colored fish, ray, loggerhead turtle, lobster, etc. I am pretty sure I saw a barricuda - which freaked me out since I forgot to take my rings off.
It was well worth the trip!
