We took the Sundiver III snorkeling tour a few days ago in Key Largo. We paid over $150 for a family of four. AFTER we paid, boarded, and went all the way out to the reef, the captain told us then that the ocean was the second worst he has seen in 26 yrs. to have a jellyfish infestation. They should have told us that information BEFORE hand. How sneeky! When asked how long it has been this bad, the captain said for the last 10 days. We spent more time sitting on the boat than what we did in the water. Very disappointing. Next time we come to Key Largo, we won't snorkel with Sundiver again.

We at Sundiver are very sorry about the Jellyfish issue you had out at the reef. This was so UNCOMMON for this time of year and caused a problem for all the snorkel boats. I am sorry if you feel we were being "Sneaky" but we were not. I promise we always tell our customers the truth on the current conditions and this mishap is unfortunate. We have been in business for over 30 years and have seen weird things happen along the way with the weather and wildlife, but NEVER have we put anyone in harm’s way or had any injuries of any kind and this is something we stand by and proud of. We are sorry for this misunderstanding and want to make it up to you if you ever make it back to the Keys. We want you to feel you spent your hard earned money for something worth it so there will be no charge for you and your family. We want to make you happy. In our book the customer is ALWAYS right and we stand by that statement.... We recently went on a snorkeling trip with Sundiver Snorkeling tours in Key Largo FL. We had three children (8-13 yrs), and 5 adults in our group. The boat was a bare bones boat, no head, no freshwater rinse off. Water was offered for free and cokes for $1. We went about 30 minutes offshore, to Grecian Rocks. The reef is very poor in this area, not much coral and what's there is damaged, due to all the boats that gather in the same area. There were a lot of fish. There were 46 people onboard, very over crowded, and there were about 5-7 other boats at the same anchorage. Captain and mate gave us instructions about how to snorkel, how to get to the reef, which way to swim, etc. They were not very friendly. One adult in our party had trouble with mask leaking and wanted help and they were less then helpful, just wanted her off the boat. They were yelling at people to stay off the ladder, and move your fins the minute you started to get in the boat. The loading area is located under a hotel, with 1 bathroom and a shower available to use. No paper towels, soap or tp however. Not worth the price we paid. Would never go with them again.

Wow, This review really needs to be addressed. We work very hard to be a family business that is a fun time and memorable and positive experience. We are taking this review seriously and making some upgrades to the food and drinks on board and also have address the shower situation. We strive to train our crew to be courteous, fun, informative and safe so would really like to know who your crew was during this below par trip. My boyfriend and I went snorkeling with Sundiver about a week ago. They were very friendly and helpful! We went on the noon tour to White Bank Coral Reef with about 20 other people. The captain and his crew gave brief instructions on how to snorkel and passed out all the necesary equipment. The entire tour lasts 2.5 hours with an hour total on the boat, driving to and from the snorkel site, and then about 1.5 hours in the water. We saw lots of fish and the coral reef was beautiful! The highlight, however, was that we saw a turtle and dolphin, which apparently is a little unusual. The dolphin swam by so quickly we almost missed it but we both definitely saw it! The bottom line is that it was a great experience and I would recommend this company for sure! :o)
