I absolutely and honestly never leave reviews. I think they are usually for people who have had either had an awful experience or an exceptional one, and often times it’s only hurts a business when it’s really not necessary. One persons bad experience shouldn’t be the reflection of everyone who else who may want to share that same experience.
Unfortunately, my experience needs to be noted. We travel to Key West often and have done many tours, all in which are great. I’m not sure if something is going on with the Captain (JIM) in his personal life, but he was exceptionally rude and made us feel very uncomfortable. We will never ride a Fury Excursion or recommend one ever again. I hope Jim resolves any issues he has that he is apparently taking out on his customers. It’s a very sad and unfortunate situation.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with Fury. We truly regret that you were unable to take this trip and do wish you had a better experience.
Upon reading your review, we met with our Operations and Call Center managers to discuss as Captain Jim is favored in reviews so frequently we were truly shocked to hear anything but the usual glowing compliments. We feel the need to clarify that your group was in breach of a strict US Coast Guard policy that we must enforce and ultimately we were unable to allow your group to proceed with the trip. We hate to ever deny a guest the chance to experience this wonderful trip and witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat but this is executed for the safety of your group.
As a courtesy, we did refund your entire group, ultimately going out with open seats on the boat and in breach of our 24 hour cancellation policy.
We do wish you had considered that your group did take a role in ultimately not being able to take the excursion and Captain Jim just bore the responsibility of enforcing these safety rules. We love that Key West has a laid back, party vibe however before being exposed to the open ocean, our skilled Captain must make decisions based on the safety of our guests.
Again, we truly do wish you were able to experience this trip and hope you have the opportunity to, under the correct conditions, in the future!
