First I want to say that the captain and crew were fantastic and fun. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of the trip. For the price we paid for this trip ($370 + tip) we got very little. This was essentially a 4 hour boat ride to a relatively unexciting area off of key west. Couldn’t tell you where or anything about it because there was zero “narration” out or back. Once we arrived at the “reef”, they divided the boat into 2 groups with one group getting in the water while the other sat in the boat. For over an hour! They also had 5 or 6 people who were not part of Snuba but out there to get their Scuba certification. All fine, except there were 2 loud conversations going on on the boat while they were trying to explain how everything worked.
Not much of a reef at all, and the visibility was very poor. Saw a couple of fish and some sand dollars, not much else. Total Snuba time was 20 minutes for the 4 hour boat ride.
On the boat they had an igloo cooler of luke warm water - and that was it. For that money, and the length of time, throw us a bag of chips or something.
Again, very nice guys, but it all seemed very disorganized. The equipment had seen better days and there was really nothing that made us feel good about the money we spent.
