To start off with you’ll cross Moli’i fishpond, an 800 yr old example of ancient Hawaiian aquaculture, where you will learn about sustainable fishing practices as well as our oyster farm and current stewardship practices. Soon after you’ll arrive at “Secret Island” where you will board our catamaran for an ocean tour of Kaneohe Bay. This tour offers spectacular views of Mokoli’i Island, Hakipu’u and Kualoa valleys, and the Ko’olau mountain range. If you’re lucky you may also see turtles or other wildlife.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

This tour requires guests to be able to climb stairs to board our catamaran.
We suggest wearing appropriate clothing and sun protection.

Kualoa Ranch

Make your own way to the scenic northern coast of Oahu to arrive at Kualoa Ranch. Your tour starts with a short ride across Moli’i Fishpond, an ancient Hawaiian pond in use more than 800 years ago to supply local villages with fish. As you glide across the 125-acre (50-hectare) fishpond, learn about traditional aquaculture practices in Hawaii.

Kane'ohe Bay

On the other side of the fishpond, arrive at Secret Island where your spacious catamaran awaits to take you on your 30-45 minute ocean cruise. The remains of the prehistoric Ko’olau volcano formed Kaneohe Bay, the Ko’olau mountains and Mokoli’i Island. The eye-catching scenery has served as the backdrop for Hollywood films including Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Pearl Harbor and 50 First Dates.

Mokoli’i Island

Set out on the turquoise waters of Kaneohe Bay, soaking in incredible views of Mokoli’i Island as you cruise. Pass Hokule'a Beach, a stunning white-sand paradise that is also home to the first modern replica of an ancient Hawaiian sailing boat. Admire the striking sight of the Ko’olau Mountains rising up in jagged green peaks behind the shimmering bay.

Kualoa Regional Park

While the fresh ocean breeze keeps you cool, hear lively historical narration and get great photo ops during your scenic cruise. You can enjoy a fantastic perspective on north Oahu’s coastline from the large viewing deck of your catamaran. You are returned to your starting point after the ocean cruise to conclude your tour.

We wanted to be out on the water and see the other side of the island as well as turtles. ✔️ The ranch seemed extremely touristy but we had fun on the little tour of the fish pond & boat ride. The kids on board had a blast on the trip out as we rolled over some decent sized waves. We did see a few turtles. We were glad we drove over for the tour l.

Pros: double boat ride! Small boat ride to the bigger boat that takes you out. The view was nice and we saw some turtles along the way! My parents loved the boat ride so If you’re bringing older family members, I think they would enjoy it! Front of the boat is exhilarating for those who are more fit. Cons: not actually that long. Tour was about 40 mins. Not a tour around the island but more of a big U turn. Front of the boat can get rough so don’t bring small kids or older relatives to the front while in motion. Water splashes and gets hard to balance but is a PRO for those who can handle it. Overall, wished we had seen more of the island and I felt cheated with a 40 min tour. Great if you have older people traveling or just want to experience getting on a boat.

Wonderful staff, beautiful views professionally run and an all round fantastic morning. Kids and adults alike were thoroughly entertained by Kamou who has so much knowledge about this beautiful land that he was able to answer everyone's questions. The catamaran captain was also a lively character and made sure the trip was always interesting and fun. He took us to the Secret Island which was full of Hawaiian history. We rode a few waves and pulled up beside at least 11 turtles who popped their heads up like ostriches. The morning was amazing. Highly recommend this outing!
