We had great time on the North Beach\Little Italy tour. From seeing how coffee is roasted to having Jean-Marc’s great truffles and showing us how he makes them, we had an incredible time. I already told friends to take the tour when they visit San Francisco

My boyfriend I went on the North Beach/Little Italy tour and we had such high expectations given all of the positive reviews. In addition, we had done a food tour in Chicago which was nothing short of amazing so I'm not sure if we were setting our expectations too high - but I didn't think so. I paid more in Chicago but left fully satisfied in both appetite and money's worth. Whereas in San Fran's food tour, I paid slightly less but I felt as if I didn't get my money's worth at all. Our tour operator seemed frazzled, slightly unorganized, and the food itself was mediocore at best. I didn't feel like the tour guide had good rapports with the restaurant/shop owners because at times, it felt like our group was more of a nuissance than anything. It would have also been nice if the shop owners or employees talked about their products/history/services - but instead, it was our tour guide doing all of the talking. I hope this information was helpful...because if I had read this before, I'd choose a different tour to go on.
