This is a 2 hour and 15 minute tour with Lovers Key Adventures master naturalist guide, Stephen, who expertly guides our guests through the mangrove canopied estuary explaining the importance of the southwest Florida eco-system -the history of the area- from the Calusa Indians, Conquistadors, and Ponce De Leon..on. He finds wildlife and introduces our guests to the various birds, vegetation, dolphins, and manatee (if they’re around that day;) This is one of the unique experiences available in southwest Florida. No tour is ever the same there is no script and many guests return year after year to enjoy Stephen's expertise and the beauty of Lovers Key
Our guests also often take advantage of the beaches and hiking trails offered inside the state park. There are many photo opportunities available to capture the memories of this incredible experience within the natural surroundings of the untouched Florida landscape.

Lovers Key State Park

Lovers Key State Park offers 2 1/2 miles of beach coastline with incredible shelling. There are 5 miles of hiking and biking trails with wildlife sightings daily. The tours take place in the estuary with manatee and dolphin sightings (if they choose to show up) many or most days. 4 hour Kayak rentals are also available at your leisure-unguided with single and tandem kayaks and canoes as well as stand up paddle boards rented by the hour.

Hanging out with manatees, learning about the mangrove estuary eco system and just feeling so peaceful and serene. Our guide Jackie was awesome.

My husband and I had a wonderful guided kayak tour through Lovers Key. We saw at least 10 manatees and one dolphin, which was just incredible and better than we ever expected! Stephen was an excellent guide, with his upbeat personality and endless knowledge of the wildlife and ecosystem. It was the highlight of our trip and we couldn’t recommend it enough!

Great way to kill a few hours! We booked a tour with Steven. He is very knowledgeable. He clearly loves what he does and is able to share his joy of the environment and wildlife with his tour guests. We were talking about what we learned all day after the tour. I was able to kayak at a leisurely pace while other more athletic people were able to speed ahead. Steven spoke loud enough that even the stragglers like myself in the back could hear and see what he was showing us. Steven was super friendly and offered to take group photos of anybody who wanted one, then sent the photos directly to us by text. We saw manatees as well as other wildlife such as birds and fish. The manatees came right up to us! I will definitely take this tour next year when we come down to Florida. I highly recommend Steven’s tour!
