Children must be accompanied by an adult
Swimsuits and shorts work best. Secure shoes with a heel-strap are required (tennis shoes, water shoes, or sport sandals with a heel-strap). Bare feet and flip-flops are not allowed. Don't forget to bring a change of clothes and a towel

We have a big facility with picnic tables and a food truck, plenty of parking. We are located by the Pigeon river and there is a campground right next to us.

The River Outpost is where all customers check in to go down the river. Everyone needs to show up 45 minutes before there schedule time in order to check in.

Very organized, all guides were excited and happy to be there, even in monsoon rains! We had a 3 year old and 5 year old and the lower river was calm enough where we weren't worried for their safety, but they still got some good splashes in!

Yes, the rain has been pouring down. Very unusual for us but I guess it was needed. Sometimes, that is the best time to go. Glad you felt safe with your children. You will have to come back and raft the Upper sometime. Thanks for choosing SMO!!!

We went white water rafting on the lower river and had a wonderful time with Tia. She answered all our questions and joked around with us. She was very knowledgeable and funny. All the guides were very friendly and helpful. I would go to the Great Smoky Mountain Outdoor Rafting again!

Eli was great! I would do this again. I would also recommend to friends with other small children. I felt confident and comfortable taking my 5yr old on this trip!!
