In early November 2019, I finally made a trip to Machine Gun America. On previous trips to the Orlando/Kissimmee area, I've always wanted to visit MGA but time never allowed it. This time, on this vacation, I planned for it. I was accompanied by my 13 year old son who was just as anxious to make the visit. Staff at the counter (Liza) was friendly, informative and assisted with my selection. I selected the "Pick 4" package and purchase a 1-gun individual package for my son. I selected the FN P-90, Uzi, AK-47 and PTR-32, while my son selected his "Call of Duty" favorite, a MP-40. Our Range Safety Officer (RSO) was Jonathan, who was very welcoming and offered my son confidence and clear instruction. While a rifle range can create anxiety for a young teenager not familiar with range rules, Jonathan did a tremendous job with him. My son fire his gun and then I fire off my 4 guns. The PTR-32 is notorious for jams and we experienced one, Jonathan did a professional job taking over and clearing the rifle. At the end, we took photos holding each gun and took photos and videos during shooting. As a Canadian, MGA offers an opportunity to fire a wide selection of guns not available in Canada. While the price can be a concern for some people, shooting some of those "rare" guns is certainly worth it for a Canadian who has an interest in guns. I hope to return to Machine Gun America in the future!
