The heliopter ride ws fantastic. However the service beforehand let the whole experience down. We had to wait over 1.5 hrs to board the helicopter after ariving at the departure lounge. I also emailed to confirm the time, they responded after the scheduled date Overall I would recommend paying a little more for better service, especially if you are tight on time in NYC.
An excellent trip ... although not quite eye to eye with the Statue of Liberty ... you are much higher!. But nevertheless, even on a grey overcast day you get a great view and tour of Manhattan from along the Husdon River including Ellis Island and of course the lady herself, the Statue of Liberty. One point I would like to make, is that organisation by reception staff is very poor. We were left standing outside in the rain for over an hour after our suggested arrival time. We could see there were no flights taking place due to low cloud and many were rescheduling flights for a later date ... so worth noting if you are only there for fours days as we were, book this flight for your first or second day .. just i case weather delays your flight. As this was my partner Jean's dream flight, we waited three hours, once we got a dry seat inside the cramped reception and were eventually rewarded with a fabulous flight with a talented and knowledgeable pilot. So our advice would be to book early, be prepared to be delayed for a few hours if the weather is bad and take an umbrella because you may be left outside in the rain ... this was the only downer, coupled with a reception staff that were not very welcoming.
why did i have to wait two hours for my ride when i obeyed all your instructions to the letter this ride was a birthday present to my partner mrs e davies, the wait ruined her birthday
