Although the actual trip is rated as 5 star because it is a wonderful way to see NYC and the surrounding areas from the sky, if there was another star rating for service this would only get one star and only at a push. We were told to arrive for check in at 12:30, had to stand outside in a makeshift shelter for 20 mins and watched as a couple with a 1pm booking were led straight inside. We eventually boarded the helicopter at 2:15pm. At that point I was seriously considering getting a refund.
Organisation prior to take off could have been better with long waiting time for many. Flight itself was very good, get to see all main landmarks of NYC
Queuing and check-in systems were highly disorganised. No proper 'conveyor belt' approach to guide passengers from arrival through to the helicopter and inadequate staffing levels on check-in desk. That said, and despite the lack of organisation, the 'meeters and greeters' and our pilot were exceptionally friendly, helpful and accommodating. The ride itself was breathtaking and worth every cent. It's the only way to get the real majesty of New York. Would heartily recommend the flight and the staff, but be prepared for no-one having a clue what's going on and although you need to arrive on the dot of your allotted flight time, in reality, it's only a very rough guide.
