Gilligans' Island Luau is an intimate luau experience and is the only luau in Kihei on Maui.

Our luau is less than one quarter the size of the average luau in Hawaii. So, every seat is a great view of the show.

The show is a mesmerizing journey through various types of Polynesian culture presented in a fun and engaging format. Through storytelling, audience participation and remarkable performances, we present an experience unavailable anywhere else.

Experience an Authentic Polynesian Luau in Kihei on the Island of Maui. Come see the traditional Polynesian evolution of Hawaiian, New Zealand, Tahitian Hula Dancers with a Samoan Fire Dancer finale. Show includes Hawaiian Musicians & Drummer and more! In an intimate setting with less than 1/3rd the capacity of most luaus, come have a great time experiencing the culture outside of a resort environment. Includes an open bar with tropical well drinks, red or white house wine, beer and all non-alcoholic beverage. Enjoy a full Hawaiian all you can eat buffet with Hawaiian Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, Panko-crusted Mahi Mahi with Lemon dill cream sauce, Hummus with vegetable crudites, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Mixed Vegetables, Mac Salad, Poi, White Rice, Molokai Sweet Potato, Green Salad w/Pineapple Vinaigrette dressing and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls with honey butter. For dessert, try Fresh Pineapple cubes, Chocolate Haupia Pie, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, and Lilikoi Bars.

It was a nice intimate experience. Small venue which was nice. Not as much of buffet options as other luaus but still good. We were VIP so we received leis. Nice wait staff bring us drinks with a nice little selection to choose from, additional drinks available at a cost. Which they would have had a photographer to buy pictures from, but that’s ok. All in all, I’d recommend. Great dancers, nice story. Mind you, it’s not a beach luau, it that’s what you are looking for.

Setting: Beautiful golf course, not a huge amphitheater, small/personal setting, relaxing/fun Dancers: Very talented, beautiful & authentic Show: We actually learned about their culture, how to dance and some of their language - you don’t just sit there with billions of people and stare at a stage. I thought the MC did such a good job! Very nice & outgoing personality. Food: Delicious!! The pulled pork, macaroni salad & sweet potatoes were all delicious. It’s a buffet with really good white or chocolate cake & white chocolate macadamia nut homemade cookies. Service: REECEE (spelling sorry) is the best server & had the best personality! Reecee made sure all of our drinks were always full! We tipped her 22%- 25%- over $260 - yes cheap Americans - please tip them! That’s how they make their earnings. Tip big haoles! Reecee, The J Family loved you!

This luau is much smaller and more intimate than many of those in other locations and on other islands - that means a much more personalized experience. We were having a family get together that included a 3 year old and senior citizens - we all had a great time. The food was great and offered both traditional luau fare as well as some nice non-traditional options. The staff at Gilligans Luau were wonderful - super accommodating and very friendly. The entertainment was all that could be expected at a luau, and because of the small size of the venue it was much easier to feel "in the moment" with the experience. All the way around - a great evening!
