When we started researching fun things to do in Hawaii, Cate from the Hulaland blog sold me on the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour. A working farm, NOT a tourist trap, and a true piece of history, Ken our tour guide entertained and educated us about the science, stories, and culture surrounding Maui’s pineapples. It was 90 minutes, but seemed much shorter because we were active and listening the whole time. Ken was really the true highlight - he’s been working with pineapples his whole life, a lifelong Hawaiian (Maui!), and his passion for his work and home show, clearly. I would 100% recommend this to anyone, young and old, honeymooning or vacationing, to those who want to see a slice of non-tourist Hawaii! (THEY EVEN GIVE YOU A PINEAPPLE THAT YOU CAN SAFELY TAKE BACK TO THE 49). Everyone - please go to Maui Gold, DONT buy Dole, and request Ken!
