My friend and I loved our experience with Mermaid Memories. It was fun to get all fixed up and mermaid-esque for the pictures. Julie was a lot of fun to spend the time with, made it all very easy, was excellent in communicating before/during/after, and got our pictures back to us extremely quickly! We definitely recommend being a mermaid if you will be in Santa Cruz!

Julie was so much fun to work with! She knew how to make us feel like beautiful mermaids and captured some great photos of our weekend girls trip! My 10 month old daughter was even able to participate with her own little fin dress (adorable!). Julie has a great selection of accessories to make sure you look the part of a real-life mermaid. We got the photos back super fast too! If you are in Santa Cruz make sure you book your photoshoot!

What an amazing way to memorialize a special moment. My daughter was turning 6. It was also time we got some family portraits. It’s a great way to celebrate intimately during COVID-19, but I think I would have done it anyway. Julie is a trooper. It’s no simple task to take mermaid pictures next to the ocean and could be dangerous for people that don’t know what they are doing. Julie understands tides. She drove to the beach we wanted the day before and was honest about the dangers and was able to give us another beautiful option. She researched the weather and lighting. She’s punctual and ready to orchestrate this awesome experience. She’s our real Mermaid of Santa Cruz.
