I wanted to do something unusual for my mermaid-loving cousin who came to visit from out of state. Mermaid Memories was definitely it! Not only did we get some really fun photos, but the whole experience of choosing our tails and our various props was so much fun. We even got my male cousin in the photo (in a very macho way) and he loved it too. I'm just having a hard time trying to decide which photos are my favorites. We loved this experience as adults -- I can't even imagine how much little girls would love this. And, what a great family photo or mother-daughter experience. I highly recommend. And, the owner, Julie, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. She even brought an outfit for my mom's dog so we could get the mer-dog in the photos. Overall, great fun and wonderful memories.

We have made Santa cruz area a yearly destination with our family. Our girls love mermaids and this experience provides everything. Getting ready, make up, jewels, hair accessories and fitting to find the perfect tail. My girls enjoyed every minute of it all! My mom and I equally enjoyed getting fitted and ready for the shoot. Julie takes the time with each person. When we moved to the water it was so much fun to be posed and flip your tail. These pictures speak for themselves! We had a blast making a memory on the beach in the coolest way! We all highly recommend this for everyone!

I hadn't planned on doing a mermaid photo shoot while in Santa Cruz, but glad we found her by happenstance. My family loved the shoot and photos are wall-worthy treasures. Julie was very responsive to my inquiries and booked the shoot at a time of day that would be best for our shoot. She had an amazing array of merperson accessories; we had a blast trying them on. I was self-conscious about extra weight, but Julie was understanding and recommended flattering poses and angles. Julie is a living, breathing mermaid, and oh so laid back and very funny. My little one loves her sea dog, Scuba. I learned she does watsu water massages as well as table massages and will do on-site massages. We got some great family photos. I can't wait to put mermaids on the holiday card this year. I'll surely book her for a massage next time we visit Santa Cruz area.
