Додатне информације
  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • What to bring: Hiking shoes, Day Pack for all of your essentials (PLEASE pack over a gallon per person, especially for in hotter times of the year - camelbacks or multiple re-usable water bottles work great), hair tie (for long hair), sun protection necessities such as: sunscreen/lib balm/sun glasses/hat/sun hoodie, snacks and your camera (carried at your own risk) if need be
  • In hotter months of the season, please keep in mind you will need to pack/drink a lot of water and that canyoneering can be exhausting for certain individuals (due to the intense high temperatures alone)

We drove out of Moab and towards GreenRiver and the Robber Roost location past Valley of the Goblins and a variety of others sights that Mike (our guide) told us knowledgeably about. First of all I'd like to say this is a very cool expedition but make sure your in shape. I think I should have gone on a diet prior to going on this one. We dropped into the canyon on our first rappel and Mike went through all the instruction and directions you need and off we went. I believe there were 5 rappels and each brought us into a more beautiful section of the canyon (see pictures - very cool!! and interesting). We had a good lunch midway through and took a short break in a shaded part of one of the slots. Going into the canyon is easy but the getting out can be somewhat of a challenge. Mike had a lot of patience with my daughter and me. We chimmeyed our way and pulled out way up and out. Finally getting back to the truck after a 10 mile hike, rappel and climb out and an exhausting exit. This reinforce my need for a diet to be sure.... All in all it was one of the best trips we've had and is a challenge that I'll remember for the rest of my life. Mike says there are 3 types of trips (1) fun and something to remember (2) Fun, challenging, painful (at times) and difficult and something you'll remember for the rest of your life and (3) something you don't every want to think about again. This trip was a bit of (1) and a bit of (2). Can't wait to do the next deal with these guys - maybe skip the long climb out of the canyon on the next one unless I go on a diet first. Mike thanks !!!!

Our group (all women, ages 35-58) spent an incredible day canyoneering with Mike, our guide, in Robber's Roost. First, the canyoneering: We are all physically fit but none of us had any canyoneering experience. This trip changed that! We spent the day rappelling, stemming, chimneying, and using all sorts of techniques to get around a myriad of obstacles. And we did it! The canyon was incredibly beautiful and it was such a pleasure to be there. There were many times when we thought there was no way we could do what was in front of us (especially the exit), but with our kind and patient guide Mike, we made it through! And with a huge boost to our self confidence. Second: our guide Mike. I just cannot say enough good about him. He was unceasingly patient and kind with all of us novices in a very technical Canyon, but more importantly he was a very talented guide, very focused on safety. I would trust my life with him anywhere. I plan to do all of the canyoneering that Navtec has to offer (over 30 trips) as long as Mike is my guide. A word of caution about this trip. This Canyon is very technical, especially the exit. The exit was the most difficult thing I've ever done, and it pushed me to the limits. You will absolutely think you cannot do it, but you can. Amazingly, you can. Thank you Navtec, for an amazing day.

My sister and friend did a 2-day cataract canyon rafting trip and 3 days of canyoneering. The rafting trip was unique in that we used one of their special motorized rafts that allowed us to cover 100 miles quickly. Our guide Gunner was really fun and sweet and showed us some cool hikes with ancient Pueblo art, petrified wood, and fossils. He got so excited to take us over the rapids. In the motorized boat, you can hit the big Class V rapids with little risk of falling out or flipping. In the future, I might try the slower paddle boats but this quick trip was perfect for our time frame. After rafting, we met our skilled and hilarious canyoneering guide Mike, who is one of those wild west characters you won’t forget. He took us to Hogwarts, Leprechaun Canyon, and Robber’s Roost. The canyoneering was fun and beautiful and Mike made us great meals and had lots of funny stories to share. We were in fitter and faster than most of NAVTECs guest, so we finished our canyoneering earlier in the day, but we went hiking one afternoon and had a great time playing on the “mushrooms” at Goblin State Park another day. Next time I would want to do one of their harder trips like Bluejohn Canyon.
